Philadelphia (14-3) defeated the New York Giants 38-7 on Saturday to clinch a spot in the title game and then watched on Sunday evening, as the Niners (13-4) defeated the Cowboys 19-12 at Levi’s Stadium.
Philadelphia rushed for 268 yards on the ground as offensive coordinator Shane Steichen got back to his superb run-pass ratio on Saturday night, as the Birds ran 69 total plays, 44 of those plays coming on the ground.
The team is off until Wednesday and as preparation starts at the NovaCare Complex, we’re looking around for the latest buzz and news concerning the NFC East champs.

A.J. Brown is already breaking records in his first season with the Eagles, and he works towards a Super Bowl appearance, the All-Pro wide receiver still finds time to unwind.
The former Ole Miss star was recently featured on “Days Off” from Whistle. Brown cooks up cheesesteaks at Angelo’s, talks about his connection with “best friend” Jalen Hurts and gives some insight into what makes Darius Slay the funniest guy on the team.

Hurts and Purdy have met before, back in 2019 during the Big 12 regular season. Then a grad transfer at Oklahoma, Hurts threw for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also ran for 68 yards and a pair of scores.
Purdy was spectacular as well, throwing for 282 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also rushed for 55 yards and a score.
The Sooners led 42-21 in the fourth quarter before Purdy led a late Cyclones rally, throwing three touchdown passes down the stretch.

Purdy has played just two road games since taking over for Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 14, against the Raiders and Seahawks, beating Seattle 21-13 and Las Vegas 37-34. He has played five games in San Francisco, including in the wild card and divisional round the last two weeks, in front of a raucous home crowd. In fact, Purdy has never started a game that wasn’t played on the west coast, and he certainly has not played in a postseason environment on the road before.
